With Macarons the flavours are endless – fruity, sweet, tangy, anything! Here is a list of 10 tasty macaron recipes, all with different flavour combinations

1. Blueberry and Mascarpone Macarons

So what better flavour for a macaron than blueberry! Blueberry and mascarpone to be specific, because mascarpone is quite possibly a food of the gods, like spoon-it-straight-out-of-the-tub-good (which is very high on the scale of good) or is that just us…?

2. Raspberry Lemon Macarons

Macarons – the elusive, dreamy cookie recipe that haunts home pastry chefs! These little finicky cookies are a real treat to enjoy and can be a real treat to make, once you get a hang of it! These sweet raspberry macarons filled with a tart lemon filling are the first macarons I ever made! The macaron shell is made with freeze dried raspberry powder for real raspberry flavor, plus some more on top as garnish. The simple and zesty lemon filling perfectly complements the sweet macaron shells.

3. Chocolate Blackberry Macarons

I guess that in the life of every confectioner comes a time, when they decide to try to make French macarons. This moment came for me as well, and if I’m honest, it scared me a bit as I know that most people have lots of (or at least one) unsuccessful attempts and making them is almost a question of luck.

I love salted caramel, I think it might actually be my favourite food. If you’ve had a macaron, you’ll know exactly why you should be making macarons. If you haven’t had a macaron… well, it’s like the most delicately light, sweet ‘biscuit-y type’ piece of heaven in existence.  They are so delicate that they make me feel delicate… and a bit more glam than I actually am. In real life I am zero percent glam. With a macaron I’m like 20% glam. That’s quite a jump and it feels good. Macarons can be flavoured and filled with anything from simple buttercream to the more indulgent patisserie cremes and ganache, meaning they can be as rustic or as delectable as you like. I’ve filled mine with a cheesecake filling to make strawberry cheesecake macarons.

I set out to recreate the treat-I-never-had by creating these S’mores Macarons! Graham cracker flavoured macaron shells filled with homemade marshmallow fluff and milk chocolate.
