I think it’s safe to say that we all need to be healthier, but where do you start? Well here’s a list of 4 healthy habits you need to start today to help you with your journey. All of the topics in this blog post can be implemented into your life right now!
1. Eat More Vegetables
How many serving of vegetables do you each each day? Experts say you’re meant to eat 5 or more vegetables each day and the more “colourful” veggies, the better!
Vegetables are packed with nutrition, vitamins, minerals, and fiber, so they should be a stable part of your diet.
It may take a while getting use to eating more vegetables. You should implement them into your diet gradually, even eating 1 vegetable a day to start off with and adding more over time will benefit your life.
Be active and find something you enjoy! I think we all need to get more exercise, most of us are guilty of being a couch potato.
Gym memberships can be expensive, but even doing more walking each day will be beneficial for you. I personally love walking in the park, but it’s all about finding what type of exercise is best for you. Walking, running, weight lifting, try a few different things and find what fits best for you.
3. Love Yourself
It doesn’t matter what colour, size, shape you are, you’re beautiful and unique! The first step to loving yourself is the hardest, but it’s the first step on the journey of self love.
Personally, I found trying to change my mindset was a major part of loving myself. Something you can try is looking in the mirror and telling yourself positive things.
Loving yourself isn’t an instant process, but making the first step is the best place to start.
4. Get Enough Sleep
Getting enough sleep is such an important healthy habit. Your hunger levels, energy levels, and mood are all effected by how much sleep you get.
Having a bedtime routine such as going to sleep at the same time each night and waking up at the same time could be impacting on your sleep.
