Sometimes you don’t have to make huge lifestyle changes in order to live a happier and healthier life. Here’s a list of 10 small lifestyle changes for happy and healthy living.

1. Drink Herbal Tea

Drinking herbal tea not only has health benefits, but they also help with relaxation. I personally love green tea and peppermint tea.

2. Drink More Water

If you can’t stand plain old water, adding a slice of your favourite fruit can really help.

I always use to struggle with remembering to drinking water. I bought a 1 litre water bottle that helps motivate me to drink more. I also have an app on my phone that reminds me every 30 minutes to have a sip of water.

3. Eat Breakfast

Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day! It sets you up full of energy for the day ahead. You don’t need to eat a big breakfast, having a smoothie or oats can do the trick. The healthier your breakfast is, the more it’ll keep you energised throughout the day.

4. Laugh!

As simple as it sounds, laughing really does help boost your mood. Go watch a live comedy show or even a funny movie. Personally, spending time with my friends always ends in laughter.

5. Healthy Snacks

Now it’s completely fine to treat yourself with your favourite junk food snack from time to time, but snacking on fruit or healthy snacks is always the healthier option. Berries, dried fruit, or even nuts all make perfect snacks to keep you going throughout the day,

6. Self Care

Practising self care comes in all different forms – having a nap, putting on a face mask, or having a long relaxing bath are all ways you can care for yourself. Whatever you enjoy doing, make time for yourself at least once a week. Remember to love yourself too!

7. Wake Up Early

Rising just 10 minutes earlier can help you gather your thoughts for the day ahead. Not rushing around in the morning will definitely reduce stress.

8. Recycle

Trying to recycle more is so beneficial because you’re doing your part towards helping the planet.

9. Be Present

Live for today, stop looking to the future or living in the past. You’re alive right now, there’s no need to wait for the weekend to come when you can be present in the moment.

10. Start a Journal

Starting a journal can help you keep track of everyday life. You can document how your day went, your mood, or your goals. Writing is a great stress reliever too.
