Tassels add so much cuteness to a party! We usually string them up on the front of the food table. It adds a lot for a little bit of work and money. We typically use tissue paper for our tassels. With tissue paper you have a lot of design pattern and color ideas….there is a downfall though. Tissue paper wrinkles and rips, making the banner a one (maybe two) time use item. I love the 4th of July! Its an important holiday and its one of my favorite holidays of the year. So even though my craft room is still literally boxed up from our move 2 weeks ago, I still had to bust out a patriotic 4th of July wreath for my new front door!

The 4th of July is one of my favorites and if you’re like me, I bet you already have most of these supplies on hand to make a patriotic banner. With a little burlap and some paint, you can make a flag inspired banner in less than an hour (depending on the size of your banner). I plan on leaving my flag inspired burlap banner up all summer long!

When I was looking at the photos of our front porch, I realized that the Spring wreath I still had on our front door didn’t match the rest of the red, white, and blue decorations. That meant I got to do some crafting! Instead of creating another patriotic wreath like I did last year, I used some materials from my stash to make a rustic wood shim American flag to hang on our front door.
