A chocolate cake has to be really good for me to love it. I’ve never been the sort to choose Chocolate Cake on a menu over other desserts. I can vouch that this Double Chocolate Loaf Cake is top notch though. The hint of orange cuts through the dense Double chocolate. I also like that the orange flavour comes from a natural source rather than adding artificial flavourings too. Obviously,I’ve added Terry’s Chocolate Orange segments on the top but this is completely optional.

Well, I feel like screw you M&S is in order because this cake is everything I wanted it to be! It’s sweet and tangy and super soft and just totally perfect with a cuppa.
